Our hearts are broken, and our souls rattled after witnessing the brutality toward and senseless death of George Floyd. Anger, pain, fear, shame and confusion are only a few of the emotions we have about an occurrence that has far too many comparable events across our nation. The country is fractured and the worst thing that can happen from here is nothing. If nothing changes it means we are comfortable with the way things are. We are not.
While it may be difficult to imagine feeling unsafe every time you visit a store, ride in your car or go for a jog, we must all recognize and embrace the discomfort required for change. Change does happen when enough people speak out and work toward a common goal.
At EPIQ Partners we chose to speak out. We pledge to be a part of positive change. By living our purpose and values we will listen, learn, engage, connect and partner, in our lives and our communities. We do not have all the answers, far from it, but recognize that a core issue is that fundamentally, opportunity is not equally distributed
We are proud to stand with all members of our diverse community that strive for justice, kindness, and upward mobility.
Stay safe, stay healthy, and be kind. Be heard and listen to understand.
